Manthan Award Nomination Form 2011 -guidelines
General Guidelines (Nomination)

The Manthan Award is open to any of the following in the content industry in any SAARC countries.
1) Governments
2) Individuals/Students
3) Entrepreneurs
4) Industry (Private Sector Companies/Corporates)
5) Academician and Academic institutions
6) NGOs
Interested individual/organization can take part in Manthan Awards by either applying online or contacting Manthan Award Seretariat for the nomination process.
Nominees are expected to send the powerpoints & videos along with the filled nomination forms.
The entry will not be considered if any nominee fails to submit the entire details of the nomination forms till the last date of nomination.
There is no limitation regarding the language, platforms, cost or channels the projects work with.
A product can only be submitted for one category.
All entries shall be real & implemented products. Pilot projects are accepted.
The same product cannot be submitted twice (i.e. submitted again).
Irrespective of the product/project language , all producer and project information must be in English.
Separate nomination shall be made in case of multiple submissions by the same individual/organisation.
Any partially filled/not filled nomination form will be rejected.
Any false information regarding the project in the nomination form will immediately disqualify the nominee.
Any nomination form received after the last date of nomination will not be entertained.
Juror’s Evaluation Criteria

Uniqueness of Idea:
Content: quantify matching quality of content and services delivery, relevance of content and its utility value
Interface & Technical specialty: Innovative design with unique features of applications having user appealing features
Implementation & scope
Sustainability & Accessibility: cost effectiveness matching social and economic capital of different user groups with diverse needs in different income brackets.

General Guidelines (Jury)

The process of evaluation commences from the date of closing of nominations.
The initial judging is through online review of the nominations by the Jury Panel.
All materials received during the judging process will remain confidential & will not be shared with any external entity.
The Digital Empowerment Foundation, the organizers have the right to reject submission / entry without providing any further reason.
The Jurors Panel of the respective Award Categories has the right to modify the judging criteria to suit the respective Category in consultation with the Judging Chairman of the Awards.
The Jurors Panels, in consultation with the award Chairman may transfer any nomination received to another Category, to ensure “best fit”.
The decision of the Jury will be final and binding.
The Jurors panel reserves the right to declare ‘not eligible’, if the nomination does not meet the standard.
The final results will be announced during the Award Gala only.

General Guidelines (Final Presentation)M4W

The nominees are required to reach the venue 5 minutes early before the start of the presentations.
Session manager shall be responsible for any queries from the nominees during the session.
Nominees shall check all the powerpoint/video/audio material of their project with the session manager before the session commences.
For final presentation, each nominee will be given a time limit of 5 minutes to present the idea.
At the end of the session, the Jury shall ask the queries which carry weightage in final marks.
Jury shall visit the stalls (exibition area) display, which carry weightage in the final marks
