1. Programme Director -
CDSA invites applications from high performing professionals with a desire to serve public health needs of the country for position of Program Director. The position will provide entrepreneurial, visionary, and business management expertise for encouraging innovation and creativity to steer a world class institution. He/She with their experience in clinical research, knowledge of public health needs, clinical product development, understanding of the Biopharmaceutical product discovery process, intellectual property rights and regulations governing product development shall oversee and manage of CDSA’s vision and mandate and its growth with a focus on innovation, documenting results, building synergies across programs, and strengthening quality systems. The position shall report to the Executive Director, THSTI. 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL:

  • Post graduate degree in medicine or life sciences/public health;
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience managing clinical research projects (institutional/field based) including at least five years of supervisory experience;
  • Experienced in developing strategies, designing, execution and management of clinical research programs, monitoring and evaluation of research programs and program budgets;
  • Experience in managing relationships with government, non-profit and community based organizations, international agencies, and the private sector.

SKILLS:

  • Technical and managerial expertise in preclinical and clinical research projects with drugs and/or vaccines.
  • Demonstrated talent management skills including recruiting and hiring successful staff and consultants; coaching, mentoring and developing staff; and fostering identification with organizational culture and values.
  • Demonstrated success in multi-cultural leadership and management.
  • Ability to network and interact effectively with donor and collaborating agencies, including public and private companies, government and non-governmental organizations and drug regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrated acumen in financial accountability, administration, and operations.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; fluency in Hindi or other Indian languages desirable.

EMOLUMENTS

Upto Rs. 1,75,000 (consolidated per month)

2. DIRECTOR TRAINING 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Post graduate degree in medical or life sciences or related discipline with 15 years of work experience that should include: working knowledge of drug development - design, implementation, monitoring and management of clinical trials; research experience in life sciences, clinical sciences, or pharmacology; knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and quality standards; exposure to adult learning principles and experience in initiating scientific/medical education or designing and delivering training programs.
SKILLS:
  • Strong scientific evaluation ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with senior management within the organization and outside.
    • Lead setting up of training academy in coordination with national and international institutions.
    • Facilitate training needs assessment amongst organizations/ agencies in India conducting clinical trials for drug / vaccine development
    • Lead development of training modules on Good Clinical Practices (GCP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), clinical operations, clinical trial design and regulatory affairs, project management, data management & biostatistics, pharmacovigilance & medical monitoring, epidemiology, relevant therapeutic area.
    • Lead dissemination of scientific and medical education for effective clinical product development across geographical sites in coordination with national / international experts on clinical trials



3. Post - MEDICAL DIRECTOR 
salary Up to Rs. 1,50,000/- per month consolidated)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
  • A postgraduate medical degree (eg. MD in general medicine/ pharmacology/ community medicine or equivalent)
Desirable:
  • An advanced degree/diploma in public health.
Experience:
  • Approximately ten years of hands-on experience in community based clinical trials; epidemiological and observational studies and /or R&D experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
  • Demonstrated sound knowledge of clinical regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Experience in New drug/ biologics/vaccine development from Phase I onwards
  • Experience in preparing study related documents: Protocol, IB and CSR
  • Experience in safety reporting and management as per the applicable regulatory requirement.
  • Experience in Pharmacovigilance.
SKILLS:
  • Proven ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Supervisory skills including clinical mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills, communication and presentation skills required.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills in English.
